Gas For Honda Prelude

I have a 1997 Honda Prelude and a 2003 RSX Type S. I know that RSX Type S is using Premium Gas. What about Honda Prelude? I need some informatiopn for that. Can anyone tell me?

The recommended octane is in the owners manual.

Your Prelude needs Premium gas. I dont know if you dont have it or maybe havent noticed it, but on my prelude it says "Premium Fuel Only" on the inside of the gas cap door.

Yeah for some reason there is a lot of confusion about the type of gas a prelude takes. When I was in the market for a prelude and looking at one on the used market , I ran into a Lady trying to sell a 5 speed prelude she claimed was her daily driver. When I asked her the type of gas she had been giving it, her response was "Uh err I think it has one of those engines that can adapt to any type of fuel you put in it". That and the fact she stalled the prelude twice just getting out of the garage told me to keep lookin.

Yeah, I was afraid of that, having his old avatar. I just liked it and that combined with not being able to get any of my pictures to fit into the required size, I thought it would be ok until i could figure the avatar thing out. So on another note if anyone can tell someone (me) who knows nothing about this kinda stuff how to adjust a pic so it can be used for my avatar i'd greatly appriciate it.

FYI, when checking the manual verify whether it states research octane or pump octane. Research ocatne is diferent than pump octane. For many years I didn't make the connection so I was filling with premium instead of regular. All that money wasted......

Khali: there are some good programs to resize, but if you just want a really basic way you can use MS paint. Open the image, go to "image", go to "stretch/skew" and alter the size of the photo. If you have an 80kb file you need to trim down to 10kb, set both fields at 12.5% and you're done (10/80=0.125)

lol I've always wondered what the little stickers in my fuel door actually say, there are 3 different stickers like that one, one red one blue and one orange i think....i REALLY should get those translated hah! i've just been filling with premium anyway so i shouldnt have any problem:dunno:
