View Full Version : WTB: Driftwood for aquarium

Anyone has any pieces lying around that they don't need? Will buy them off of you. I need real driftwood..not the plastic or rock like stuff...the kind of driftwood that leaches a yellow color into the tank.

Do you know where? I saw from Calgary Aquarium Society that you could actually find some near riverbeds or what not..so like which beach?

pretty much any beach will have wood washed up on the shore, you just have to walk around the shoreline. rivers a goodplace too...

If you wanna wait until saturday I'm going to chain lakes for some fishing I can grab some for you! PM me if you want it. Need to know by thurs night! Theres always tons of it on shore!

Wild driftwood is hard to use in fishtanks because it floats. So you either need to weight it down with something or boil it for days upon days to get to heavy enough to sink.

Always boil your driftwood for a few hours at least.....
