I chose AMA for mine.

The prices are more expensive then say Rainbow, but;

1. You can understand the instructors
2. More classtime and car time then most schools
3. Repuitble company for driving instructors = bigger chance of better insurance discount
4. Very flexible with times most of the times, will also pick you up anywhere for in-car lessons.

Most people get turned away from AMA because of the prices, but I figure its worth it after hearing some of the horror stories of other companies and they way they teach

Prepared driving school is good...the guy that does the inclass is pretty funny.

the best way to learn is to drive with a family member or a friend...that way you arent so nervous and if you do something wrong you dont get all shaken up when the instructor looks at your weird.

i never did in car lesson i just drove with my parents for 2 years after getting my learners...then i went for inclass and the road test and it was good...cost me only $175 i think for inclass plus $50 or something for the road test

"A" driving school is good, I used to work there. They have been around for over 30yrs. Prices are competitive and cars are ok but not as good as ama. AMA always has nice new cars all that time which is a bonus. Goodluck and I hope you get a good instructor. :D
