1990 TOYOTA CELICA GTS, blue, automatic transmission, Clarion CD player, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks, power sunroof, 2.2L eng, 10 speaker sound system and amp, electronic alarm, 161,081 kms, new tires, AirCared inspected.

I have owned this car since January 2002. Since then it has been in no accidents aside from being involved in two minor hit and runs (I was the one dinged). I have kept this vehicle in the best shape possible, with regular oil and fluid changes and other jobs including replacing the CV boots and some exhaust work.

The car has no rust problems. There are minor scratches on the body, but nothing one would not expect on a car of this age. The interior is in absolutely mint condition.

are there any JDM engine swaps that can be done to this car?
if so, which ones and specs please!

It is possible to swap with the Celica GT4/All Trac/MR2 Turbo 3sgte turbo engine. You would most likely have to put in a new manual transmission as well.

This was a long term project of mine, to do this exact swap, but tuition and other debts have held the idea back.

If you do consider this swap, it is entirely possible to get up around 190/200 hp @6000 rpm.

approximtately how much does it cost for the swap and then how much to get sumome to install?
is the FWD conversion to RWD or AWD fairly simple?
thank you, u can PM me with these details if you would prefer.

I will just post here, in case anyone else is interested! :D

Well, the engine itself could be anywhere from $1500-3000, depending where you can find one. There are some on eBay right now that are going for $1200US. Then a transmission could be $300-500.

Some idea here...

I have no idea how much it would cost to install? I was going to do it with a buddy who is a mechanic.... The install itself is pretty straight forward for a swap, but I couldnt give you price for the mechanic hours....

I also have no idea about the RWD or AWD conversions, sorry!

Yes.

If you are in Calgary and have any one here in Vancouver who is willing to check it out, I am willing to drive it to Alberta for you.
