These shirts look allot better in person than in the picture.
These shirts are authentic, brand new, and Made in Peru. They are meant for the US Market. When comparing to the shirts at Harry Rosen and Holt Renfrew, I could only notice one difference, their shirts are made in Tunisia or Morocco. Otherwise, the shirts are identical in color, fit, and quality. I spoke to the representative at Lacoste Holt Renfrew, and he told me that Lacoste makes shirts around the world in different countries but they maintain the same quality and consistency. If you go to the US, they mostly have Made in Peru shirts at Lacoste boutiques.
You can tell the quality of the Peruvian shirts that I am selling. They have the alligators stitched onto (not into) the shirt and have individually unique mother of pearl buttons (tinted to the color of the shirt, with a swirled back). On the outside they feel like a quality polo with its unique fine mesh knit. It has a honeycomb structure which allows for a high level of comfort, but is lightweight and incomparable in softness. On the inside, it has a kind of “brushed cotton” feel, it is exceptionally soft. Each polo has 20km of cotton thread, and weighs 230g (I weighed one to confirm). The color dying process can take up to 13 hours to make sure that the shirt has fantastic longevity. They have a back tag (doubled), and underneath another double tag saying “Designed in France, Made in Peru”. On the inside of the shirt, it features the Devanlay washing instructions tag. These shirts are manufactured by Devanlay under license from Lacoste (as are the Holt Renfrew and the Harry Rosen shirts). Devanlay has been making Lacoste shirts for sometime now (I can’t give you an exact year), and has recently signed a contract to continue selling them into 2012
