I think the Golf held up pretty good, all things considered. I mean, the Merc was clearly the preferable car to be in, but given that the Merc had considerably more mass (approx 4000 lbs vs. 2800ish for the Golf), and the price/technology differential, I would have to give the VW a :thumbsup: for protecting its occupants in that collision.

Oh, yeah, and hopefully justice will be well served upon the driver and those who tired to help him evade responsibilty for the crash.
