I've already received PM's on this, so to make things simpler, PM's will take precedence over posts and actual phone calls will take precedence over PM's.

And for all those who are interested because I've already come across this twice amidst my private messages: If you are going to offer me $XXXX for it, you better have $XXXX in the bank and not throw me a pm with an offer not having even seen the car.

*****Please read clearly***** If I call you on your PM offer and you don't follow through with intent I will leave negative feedback! Sending me a PM should be just as serious as a phone call to me.

Thanks for the space beyond!

It has a 2.0L 4 cyl DOHC 140hp engine. All in all, Import engine/drivetrain in a domestic body, best of both worlds I guess.

Actually the engine is Chrysler, barely anything in the car is Japanese which makes it very easy to get parts.

This is like a steal for $5800!! Free bump.

I thought they had mitsubishi englines, like other older American cars

yea, i am pretty sure all of the eagles have mitsubishi engines. Eagle was how mitsubishi origonally got into the North American auto market as a joint with dodge. mitsubishi also put engines in some of the old crysler caravans, i know for example that my 1994 dodge caravan was a mitsubishi in it. in 1998 mitsubishi more or less cut their venture with crysler and continued makeing cars like the eclipse (which is exaclt the same car as the talon with a different body). it wasnt until 2003 that mitsubishi brought it car line to Canada which included the lancer.

Sorry to go off topic but i felt that this was very relevent to the sale of this vehicle. I am 99.9% sure that there is a mitsubishi engine under that hood.

The engine is a Chrysler 420a, not JDM at all end of story. The TSi has the Mitsubishi 4g63t. ESi practially has the neon r/t engine.

My bad on the import/domestic comment. However, all Eclipse base models have the same 420a engine as well.

Imports and domestics have a real fine line differentiating each other in this day and age... look at Hondas, since the 90's many of them are being made in Canada/US/Mexico.

On the bright side, there is a program out there where you can search up the mitsu eclipse part numbers and order them for the talon, as essentially they are the same car. mitsu parts cost 1/2 of what the same parts at dodge go for!
