OK, I have a '97 3.0, so I can't tell you anything about the 2.2, 2.3 powerplant, but...

I love this car. I've had it for 3 years now, and have racked up many miles. If you take care of it, like most cars, it will take care of you.
I love the interiors of these cars. Standard heated leather seats, heated sideview mirrors, climate control, sunroof, and power everything. They feel like a good mix between a TL, Accord, and Civic. I personally like the 97-99 interiors + exteriors better than the 2000-up models, they have better lines, and are more stylish.

I just dumped another couple grand into it this month(tune-up, Eibach Pro-kit, KYB AGXs, slotted rotors, 18s, and some rubber), and don't have any plans on getting rid of it in the near future.

I'm not much of a 4cyl. kind of guy, so I got the 3.0, but you do have to watch out for the tranny in the V6. They're great cars, but if you want a 5spd, you have to get the 4 cyl.
As fun as it would be, a 1st gen 3.0 CL never came with a 5/6spd. :banghead:
