My cd player is getting old, and when i play the first few tracks it kinda skips, or maybe its my burner.

How can i clean it, or make it better?

You can buy those lens cleaner that contains a disc with a tiny brush at the bottom. It should be available in most places that sell electronics.

Yup, use the lens cleaner CD's.
Dont take anything (cloth or solution) to the laser unit in your player...

It's very cheap. I think around $15 or so. You can use it again and again.
