June 10 at race city

Planning a road trip out from kelowna for june 10th to hit race city, just making sure theres nothing weird going on that wont let us race!

Cars that are coming

Dodge Omni GLH with a stage II turbo transplant
1986 Subaru BRAT with a 2003 WRX transplant
70 1/2 split bumper camaro (big motor, gears and a Locker)
84 RX7 GSL SE
Dodge SRT 4
Subaru 2.5 RS 2dr with a Greddy Turbo Kit (dont know which turbo)
Celica GT with a turbo and wide body

I think thats it, it's my batchelor party and I am stoked to hit a 1/4 and get some autoX runs in...the rx7 is mine

Should be a good time...hate to be the bearer of bad news...but remember, it is calgary...thus the weird thing that might mess up your plan...the weather...but i hope it all works out

Sounds like a cool group of cars.. Some nice ones but the one that I wanna see the most is the Brat!

yeah, it is in the final stages of completion right now, so I havent seen it go yet. It was pretty fast before the wrx swap, had a turbo motor out of a 90s wagon and AWD 5spd out of a ST6, also got the suspension and breaks out of the ST6 so it will stop pretty good concidering that was a HEAVY car and the brat is pretty light

speaking of tech, are they pretty anal?
what are some of the things they look for that wouldnt be found at a local autoX?

Batt tie down, major leaks, working seat belts, DOT helmet...

Just got back. The highlight was a white 240 with an autodream sticker. It was firing flames out the exhaust bouncing off the limiter in the burnout box. Then on the last run I saw he was having traction problems and trapped 115mph with a passenger.

It sounded like it had a large tubro since it took a while to spool up but is sounded like a freak'n jet engine once it did!!
The clueless announcer was like "the supercharge kicked in".

^^ yeah he has an rb25 motor in that car with some huge HKS turbo. i am not to sure what turbo it is but i know somone on here will know and anounce it.

Autocross is my favorite, but some of the others like to drag, and it will be a treat to see a full 1/4 mile as all we have here in Kelowna is an 1/8th!

well that was an awesome weekend, BUT no racing for us. I was so stoked too but they canceled... we even had a casualty on the way there, our camaro lost compression on one of the cylinders, made some good blowbye and we had to load her up on the trailer in canmore. The brat didnt make the trip from the start, but he brought his Orange 73 'cuda instead...
