Just bought my first car and now with this heat i would like to have my black car a little cooler. The only problem is i turn my AC on and it doesnt blow cold it blows the temperature of the inside of the car and lots of particles. Do I just need to get my air conditioner recharged or what might be going on?

could use a recharge if it hasnt been done in many years. might have to do a conversion to the new gas stuff, r12 or maybe r12 is old i dont remember, but anyway its no big deal.

but blowing particles, you mean dust??

The R-12 refrigerant is the old, ozone-depleting CFC which was used in all vehicles built prior to 1993.

yeah I would start with an a/c recharge that way the a/c guy can then take a look and see if thre is any leaks in the system and determine the condition of the compressor
