it might have been backwards on purpose. Supposedly, if the scoop is facing backwards, it will actually suck in more air then if it is facing forwards. Nobody seems very willing to confirm that with good proven science though, since people have put their scoops on facing frontways for like 50 years now.

Front mount intercooler?

Putting it backwards could be a way to depressurize the engine compartment to flow more air through it. I could be wrong though.

the picture its backwards but on the car it looks to me as though its facing forwards

according to the experts (am not one ....)
if the scoop faces backwards then the I/C must be frontmounted !!!!
the need for air flow and keeping the temp low is very high, a backward facing scoop would not suffice

The car with the scoop backwards on the trailer is the drag car, while clearly the car in the picture is a Patrick Richards insane STi.

Aaron, I will be coming down from St. Albert to watch the rally. :thumbsup:

then this car is only for displaying, if it was driven hard it would have lasted 10 minutes ...........
