i'm in the market for a MR2...
this is what i would like it to be...
Year: 93+ (91-92's will be considered, 93+ is preferred coz it was when power steering was available, even though it is not needed for MR2's. No RHD's Please!
Make: Toyota
Model: MR2
Trim: N/A (turbo models will be considered for the right price).
Transmission: 5 Speed (auto's will be considered as well for the right price, preferably not though).
Color: Preferably White or Black (i will consider other cars, but not many others). red, blue, yellow, orange are all considerable.
Interior: Preferably Black Cloth (other colors or leather will be considered as well).
Mileage/Km's: Not an issue, considering the plans i have for the car.
Preferably T-Tops
RUST FREE

I will drive anywhere to get the car in North America as long as it is rust free and fits the description well.
I would prefer the car do be stock but mods are always cool.
The plans that i have for the car is the 3rd Gen 250 hp engine swap, that is why kms is not an issue.

i do know of an Auto Mr2 that fits this description almost perfectly except for that it is an auto of course and that it has faded blue seats and at a used car lot, but it is of a very good price.

lookin to spend round $3,750-$8,000 (preferably less jsut coz of the big plans that i have for the car)

please post what you got:thumbsup:
thanx.

sorry do get your hopes up but to find an mr2 for that kind of price is going to be pretty friggin hard considering the gheapest mr2 ive found in the last little bit was 8800 and that was a 91 and its going to be even more for a 93....so you might want to bump up your price plan

3750? not likely unless you find one in the states damaged to shit. I paid over 10 for mine 3 years ago and its a 91 N/a 3750 wont even get you a 93 civic hatch :whipped:

obviously theres something wrong with the car...ive looked around at prices on these cars and the only way youll find a car that cheap is on ebay and the price is so low because the bid isnt over....if you want a really good car youll spend between 7500 to about 15500....good luck

Ebay.

Read the original post. Even if the engine is blown, it doesn't matter. He should be able to find a non-running MR2 for under 8k.

There's 3-4 in the auto trader under 8k. Here's a 93 for 9k:

N/As aren't generally that desirable. Converting from auto to manual is not worth the price or the hassles. Just buy a manual.

But remember you get what you pay for. If you plan on stripping it down and replacing everything, by all means get the cheapest car you possibly can. Rust usually isn't all that common on MR2 simply because most aren't driven in the winter...

clem..

ya, thats the plan, i wanna avoid the auto to 5 speed swap totally.
that MR2 is definitely nice, and with super low km's!
i am hopin to fine one with higher km so it will be cheaper
i've actually never seen any 2nd gen MR2's with rust, but that's just me.

keep lookin, thanx guys:thumbsup:

i will also consider any MR2's 91+ with the JDM swap as well as N/A and Twin Turbo 90+ Nissan 300zx's that are NOT RHD and that are 2 seater 5 speeds:thumbsup:

Northy

will also consider 91+ NSX, 2000+ S2000, 2003+ 350Z, 89-90 Skyline Gt-R, Gt-S Turbo, or Gt-S, 97-98 240ZX, or 94-97 Celica Gt or Gt-S.
of course all cars will have to be 5 Speeds and NOT RHD's.
Thanx again.

i will of course pay more for the more expensive cars:thumbsup:
