Dude, that was a looooooooooong time ago.

AMC was going bankrupt, and the gremlin, eagle, concord, ambassador, and rambler wasn't exactly a saving grace.

Chrysler just wanted Jeep anyways, and AMC didn't want to sell them alone.

Mind you the AMX with the 390 was nice, nothing special, but nice.

Holy shit, you're from the seventies aren't you? Go back! Go back while you still can! Go see a Zeppelin concert and have some unprotected sex! [/terence mann]

Ancient history, man. Although I must say that the Pacer (http://money.cnn.com/2004/12/16/pf/autos/pacer_auction/?cnn=yes) cleans up real nice.

The AMX was a nice car, but AMC just had too many less-than-inspiring cars to gain a decent market share.

yet another retarded thread. car companies get bought and sold and shut down. thats the nature of competitive business. And in business, you either keep up, get bought up or go belly up.

case in point - the object of your hatred got bought up themselves - and they retired the eagle and plymouth brands.

^ He meant AMC didn't want to sell the Jeep brand. It'd be like Apple selling off Ipod to some other company. In other words, stupid.
