It would be neat, but I don't know of any indoor ones, should wait til spring before posting this thread, also it belongs in events and meets.

So there is an indoor one in Calgary? I just assumed there would be since there's one in Edmonton (damned expensive though)

(sorry for posting in the wrong forum Hakkola)

I might be interested. :)
I tried to help organize one for Beyond a while ago, but it fell through. :(

Prices have gone up by $100 for the one hour group booking at Grand Prix Indoor.
The prices/rates at Grand Prix are roughly equivalent to Fast Track in West Ed Mall.

Yep, Grand Prix in the north is indoor. We should have had this a month or so earlier, a good friend of mine had worked there since it opened but he just quit a few weeks ago.

I'm in pending date as well

I was just at Grand Prix yesterday. Membership is $5 and you have to have your drivers license. And 15 laps is $25 and it usually lasts about 15 minutes. They have helmets there but you have to wrap this plastic bag around your head to keep your sweat from stinking up the helmet so it is best to bring your own helmet. You can also pay $120 for 100 laps and you can deduct from an account each time you go.

The go-karts at Grand Prix are 6hp I believe but they also have faster ones at 10hp. An average lap for a beginner is about 35 secs. It's sooooo fun...I'm definitely in!!

I think you can get the high HP cars if you privately book. If you can break into the 28's, you're pretty quick!

wow .. this got more response than I though it would. So who volunteers to organize it? I call no it.

Seriously though, I probably wouldn't be able to make it until spring anyhow. The thought just came to my head so I figured I'd post it before I forgot about it.

Hehe, last time I went go karting was when I was a kid, for some reason i couldn't turn, I nailed the railing and ended up on top of it, tires were everywhere, good times.
