Hey, im taking a friend to Kananaskis on Monday and I wanted to find something nice to see, is there any good hiking trails?
We're bringing her dog, so hoping to find somewhere nice.
If you guys can think of anything or anything in the surrounding areas, please let me know, probably be there all day.

How far are you willing to drive.

If you want a quick get away, head out to elbow falls, just take highway 22x west to Bragg Crek, and continue on Highway 66. It's at the end of the road (there is a barricade that opens June 17th due to winter)

Lots of places to hike, it's got a nice waterfall, and fire pits and picnic tables if you want a picnic.

If you wanna go farther. Head out on highway 1 through banff and then exit off onto the bow valley parkway. The entire stretch is so nice, lots of picnic and hiking areas, and if you get to the end of it, drive a little further towards field and go to takaka falls.

:)

I'm doing the exact same thing you are, except tomorrow, haha and sans chien.
:)
