back, you can see the scratches I am talking about, and there are a few more lower on the bumper. Easy to fix, but I don't want someone wondering why it has been repainted.

Well I have been away on vacation but now I am back and the car must go. I have looked up the wholesale value of this car, and 1 just sold at the Adesa dealer auction in Airdrie last week for 19,200, and it had 106,000 km's. Mine is currently at 122,000 and am am going to sell it for that. So that means 19,200 + buy fee of $300.00 and GST = $20,865. That's the lowest I will go, I want it gone. It's a type S........you won't find on any cheaper. It has a few scratches on the back bumper, no accidents, Alberta car. What more can I say!

This is a good deal IMO. Isold mine last spring, with a few kms for 28,500. I would get this car in the auto trader if I were you.

oh for crissakes!!
He's quoting you auction pricing which always includes a buyer's fee plus GST on top of the sale price.
That is what people are paying for a similar car running through an auction block with no chance to test drive the car nor search its background before buying the vehicle.
If you can buy a car retail at auction pricing, then you are buying very cheaply which is what he's telling you. He is not selling you the car in an auction, so his price comparison doesn't turn his private sale into a commercial sale.

As an aside though, the suggestion immediately above me is right on point. Having sold a number of cars that were advertised here as well as in the Herald, Auto Trader and Bargain Finder, most buyers (not all, but, most) here don't really appreciate pricing. Shoppers coming to you from those other publications generally have a much better feel for what is a good deal than do readers here, or at least that has definitely been my experience. I'm currently advertising a car here that will come out in the A/T and B/F tomorrow and if past experience is any guide, I'll get immediate interest starting tomorrow even though I've had it on Beyond for a week without a call. For what it's worth and good luck with your sale. There is nothing wrong with your pricing.

Thanks for your comments, and yes my point showing the auction price is that most people forget what gets added on when you buy at the auction. And the price I showed is the wholesale auction not a public auction. Or basically the max I will get trading it in. I put it back on here, because I had success on other time selling my car here, but you are so right, to many guys still think I will give it to them for less. It's like they can't think...........hmmm how does he know what sold at the auction last week???? maybe he has a connection there?????He probably won't give it away for less cause he could get it run through the auction and get close to that money for it.

I put i here because I missed the trader deadline yesterday, I want it gone, and I hope that someone that does a little research will realize how good a deal this is.

Thanks for the comments from those of you that understand my intention.

When you upload it online, I thought it will be immediately available on the internet (the pictures gets uploaded 24hours later). I believe a lot of people just check online rather than buying the print out. I guess whatever you have on the printout is also what you get online (free), is it not? When I was buying a car, I saw one prospect car and called the owner. He was surprised to get a call immediately when he just listed the car. He thought that it will be not out until that thursday.... I could be wrong.

Rowdy, sorry to hijack your thread, but, clarifying this issue might assist you as well and you do get the free bump ;)

When you place an ad in the Auto Trader, the ad comes out the following Thursday if you place it before the preceding Tuesday deadline.
When you place the ad, A/T staff should offer you the extra cost option (around $10 ??) of your ad appearing on line immediately.
That way, anyone shopping online will see it before it comes out in the print edition.
However, I believe most sellers don't take that option, so their ad comes out in print on Thursday and then won't show up on line until the following Monday.
Thus if you're shopping for a car in the A/T and want to get first "dibs" you must buy the Thursday print edition earlier on Thursday as well as check the on line edition daily for any new updates.

And for bennyhaha's benefit,
all Acura TL's since 1999 have used HID's as standard eqpt.

Acura has also extended its factory warranty on the 5 speed "tiptronic" style auto trans. to 160,000 km. That would include the transmission on this car. Check with an Acura dealer for details.

This is from Toyota.ca

You can look to add 1-2000 on top

2002 Acura TL Type S 4D Sedan

Based on the kilometers entered
and the options selected, your vehicle's classification
is appraised as:
Below Average.

Depending on your vehicle's condition, the value may be appraised within the High and Low range. * less Reconditioning Costs

Low: $15,651.00 High: $17,901.00

Obviously
NONE OF US COULD PAY WHOLESALE AS NONE OF US ARE DEALERSHIPS OR CAR DEALERS

Interesting, that awfully low, for tht car IMO, I sold mine last year this timefor way more. It was in better shae however. I bet the deal would get you about 17,500 cash or 18,500 on trade. You should take it there rather than let it continuously depriciate.

if you sell it for 17,500 iill pick it up from u right now for that price!!

Is the car gone or is still for sale. I know you can get 19500 easy for it if you put it in the auto trader. Trust me on that. Probably even more. I would say 19500 to 21000. Give it a shot and let me know. Of course if you will sell for around 18000 I will get you a buyer tomorrow.

peace.
