does anyone think the 93 Lexus LS 400 is a good car? just wondering considering buying one. They were made till 97. I am spending about $15.000

The old man image is too much for me but if mileage is low, it's a fine car.

But for $15K, you're really just buyin the badge. And since it's over 10 years old, it's probably have to pass inspection before it's insurable.

Love the sound of them. Very quiet at low throttle, but a nice throaty growl at WOT. With the right wheels, they can have a very contemporary yet reserved look. If it's what you want, go for it :thumbsup:

edit: oops. I was thinking of the SC, not the LS. I vote for the SC400 :thumbsup:

i think they are great cars...lots of luxury ammenities, enough torque to get u around and then some, pretty reliable from what i hear (but i've never owned one)...but depending on the condition of this one, i think the price could be a bit lower.

I had A Lexus ES300. Awesome car....the LS being a bit bigger was to be another choice of mine. I have seen a couple nicely Done LS's in town.

I can't remember the actual thread name...but there is a thread on here with some older but pimped modded Luxury Imports. I believe NISMODRIFTER has a few links possibly.

I say do it if you like the car. Clean, fun car!

15k, is not a bad price for a 97 at all, providing that it has reletively low milage.

Very solid car, but watch out for repairs they will set you back even if it happens occasionally. Gas will also be pricy, but this car is fantastic, and silent inside when driving.

edit: I didn't see 1993, I agree with Statick, its a little high unless it has less than 140k
