Does anyone know if Brad sold his Prelude or if he's going to be out next year? We will be looking for some competition come spring.:D Are there any other serious FWD cars being built for next summer? (And I don't mean 13's or 14's)

I saw Brads car on Toma's dyno- very impressive. I should have specified FWD. Thats mainly what im interested in.

I think the question who has the fastest street car may lead to a bit more of an arguement.... not many members on this board can push 9's or 10's....
for FWD cars i don't recall hearing anyone hit 11's, 12's yes I believe one of the Turbo Preludes did 12's... other then that I think most are 13's and a ton of 14's.... people are running 14's like they are going out of style.

I have decided to wait on selling the car. I am looking at putting some consistent numbers down first.

As for next season, I already have a tranny with custom gears and an LSD in the works (aka. ready but not going to put it in until the weather warms up, etc.). Tuning @ Dynomotive will then resume, and im hoping to lay down some 26-28psi runs, which should put me in the 500-550whp range (on a mustang dyno). As for other drivetrain components, aftermarkets axles are also on the agenda, but I have yet to order anything to date. A cage and scattershield should also be in the car by springtime...so watchout.

As for running in the 11's, an LSD (or not missing 5th) would have easily put me there last season @ 18-20psi, but we all learn from our mistakes. Hopefully next season, drivetrain consistency will be there (cause motor consistency was excellent last year), and the new gears will only add more traction and also prevent the 4th to 5th shift.

Anyways, I got a new site up where you can watch my dyno videos and even both by breaks last year...so have a look.

Thanks for the info, I think some 90-94 Eagel Talons as well were in the 12's. I have yet to see a Honda pull 12's or lower at Race City with my own eyes, I have heard of 1 though. I think this year you will definetly see a lot more 13 sec. honda's.
What I'd love to build is a ALL MOTOR 12 sec honda, but it's cost too much to build,.

I saw an absolutely amazing looking (either a 2002 or 2003)red Mustang Cobra parked outside RPM a while ago. Is that the one?

the polish guy was running a H22A in the Teal EG but tossed it for a ITR, who's all motor last time I talked to him, but maybe he's running the bottle for the 1/4.. anywas a EG stripped with a C5 and some Bolt ons plus slicks can most likey pull some really low 14's and possible maybe a 13 timeslip with mad driving skillz.

I was totally considering a All Motor 4 banger but the money was just too much. Even if I did a GSR swap into a EG or possible a Type R I would need to make it 2.0L plus balance and polish the crank along with Rods/Pistons plus P&P head with Cams/Valvetrain and mad tuning before you can get a all motor 4 banger to be running anything under say 13.5's in the 1/4.
Even in my last post where I said a STRIPPED EG with Slicks and a C5 motor with I/H/E and mad driving skills may have a chance at 13.9s at race city.

Mine is an ugly relic 1988 Stang. My favourite video is the first one, where I won the '99 Street Car Shootout. Kept my foot planted the whole way, even though she broke loose 3 times during the run. One of those adrenalin pumpers ;) - went 10.15 @ 136mph. The second video is the 9.88 pass where I was disqualified during the 2002 shootout for going 9's without an NHRA liscense (9.88 139mph).

On my last run, at 18psi, my mph was 118. I still haven't made a run over 18-20psi, even though the car has been tuned to 22-24psi (26-28psi next year). Shouldn't have a problem running in the mid 120's.

And that red cobra in front of RPM a while ago, should be the same one that is at Audio concepts right now. No track time yet, but it sports a large blower and over 400whp...show & go! Same guy who owns the 2002 red porsche turbo.

ya, I never see that polish guy around anymore...so did he run 13 with the c5? I only saw his car with the h22...and it was pretty quick...I hope to have my engimne finished by this racing season and it will be N/A for sure...no more boost for me, I had enough with my civic.

Thanks for the info! To be honest, I've never run at Race City... based my info on others runs, worst I've seen is 13.7, best I've seen is 12.7. But I never considered the elevation. It also depends on how ready you are to abuse the drivetrain I guess (not me!).

At least there's no shortage of cold air!

I'm not sure who that could be... Aaron ran a 13.2@102 last summer. Marcin with a white Talon was running 11's up in Edmonton but put his car up for sale. :( This summer Clinton (1G) and Ron (2g) both ran mid-12's - both AWD. Someday I'll get there... :rolleyes:
