A friend of mine is thinking of picking up an extra job (P/T), and was thinking of applying at IKEA.

Do they make good money?
Does anyone know what the employee discount is like there?
Any other benefits?

I have a friend working there.....I think she said she started at nine something and she gets 25% off all merchandise....I believe they receive additional benefits as well.
Don't quote me on this tho. Next time I ask her, i'll double check

My girlfriend works there and she makes 9.50 an hour to start, 25% off and full benifits for her and her "dependents" ( if there where any) after working 800 hours in total

I used to work there... about a year ago. Starting Wage depends on the department you work in. It's between $9-$10... and discount was only 15% at the time... maybe they incresased it when they opened the new store?
