Question about Head Gasket size

I was just wondering if the bore size was detrimental when choosing the type of head gasket.

When I rebuild my engine, I used a cometic head gasket with 85.5mm bore size. I was given an 86mm bore size, for a spare, and I was wondering if 0.5mm is exceptable to use if I were to need to use it.

I don't think it would be as bad as using a .5mm too small HG.. However, considering you've rebuilt your engine, investing time and money - is it really worth using it?
