A mint 240 is perfect running condition could easily go for 6000. I have seen more expensive ones on the auto trader that have sold in no time.

No rust at all or any mechanical problems like the thread says mint condition. That is the reason for the 7500 price tag let alone the $3000 stereo.

There is no visible rust at all on the body, as for the under carrage there is extremely MINOR rust and it is in as mint of condition as it looks.

He'de be losing money because it was just painted..... any rust was sanded down and reworked. This car was just repainted a few months ago.

So it had rust before the repaint? Should be made clear to any prospective buyer. Funny that new paint was never mentioned as most people would make that pretty clear. I'm not trying to hijack the thread but with you being in the Hat, someone from Calgary may want to make a trip to see the car. You may want to disclose important information so you don't waste someone making a six hour trip for nothing.:(

Totally agreed....that kind of information should be disclosed...eventually the rust will reappear

The rust was totally filled and anyone who asked about it was told. The rust that was reapiared was very minimal anyways not half as much as 80% of the 240's have out there right now.

That explanation sounds fair to me. Anyone who owns or follows the 240's know that they are one of the worst cars when it comes to rusting out so it may make some people suspicious when someone says that a 1990 240 has no rust. Complete paint jobs aren't cheap so it is reasonable to expect a return on new paint if it was a quality job as it's nicer to drive around in a freshly painted 240 compared to all the riced-out rustbucket 240's I'm starting see on the Calgary streets.
