I thought this was kind of interesting from a "development of the industry" point of view. (And may well be old news around here anyway. If that's the case, sorry.)

Anyway, Harley Davidson's releasing a new version of their V-Rod, tuned for somewhat more performance. New exhaust and tuning, for slightly more torque and hp, a bigger gas tank, but most importantly they've upped its handling. The rake angle's decreased to 30º, the ride height's taller so you can lean it over farther, and they've even given it midset pegs (like the old standards of 20-odd years ago.) For Harley, that's almost rearsets.

It still weighs over 600 lbs, so it's no sportbike, but it's nice to see Harley trying to capture a little market share outside of its usual territory.
