Hey guys,

Well, after talking to the folks, I managed to score a hotel room for grad. It was $160 per room at the Hyatt and I got 3 of them. Great location, great place, great stay. Now, there are going to be 14 of us in the rooms, you do the math ;-). There will be strictly 14 people, and I have no concern of randoms showing up.

I am a little concerned about the whole thing and I want everything to go ok. Do you guys have any suggestions/cautions from prior experience about this whole hotel thing?

I trust all of the people in the rooms, but still concerned.

I am not telling the date, I don't want random beyonders showing up

Let me know

:D

Most hotels are pretty leniant (sp?) regarding grads at grad time. basically, dont act like retarded idiots, and try to keep it down after a somewhat reasonable hour. But whatever man, just try not to break shit and enjoy your time!

I'm pretty sure you guys will be over the maximum occupancy for the rooms. So keep it quiet!

Really keep the noise down, which will probably be hard since you will all be shit faced. On my grad night we almost got kicked out onto the street because we were being to loud and had way to many people in the rooms

haha neil take some advice from me..when i went to banff at a pretty decent hotel like hyatt heres some tips
-dont take a vase of flowers from the lobby and dump it in the elevator
-dont blast techno and dance around when your on the 8th floor
-dont run around the lobby downstairs making faces and the hotel manager
-dont meet random ppl in the hallways and invite them in

as long as you dont do any of that i think you'll be okay hahaha:angel:

i don't think you should do that anywhere.

anyways, i don't think they let you bring booze in right? cause i remember for my ex's grad they had a hotel for after grad me and soslowdx had like duffel bags of alcohol and we had to sneak it upstairs. it was scary shit because he left all the drinks with me while he ran upstairs haha.

Oops. I tend to just skim threads where common sense is usually applied.

If you were a patron at a hotel, you would expect other guests to be coureous and respectful. Hopefully you have friends who are the same way. Simple golden rule.

Why bother with a hotel room? Just have a house party.

If you are worried about someone trashing your house you should be even MORE worried about someone trashing a hotel room.

So basically... dont act like an immature brat.

It shouldnt' be too bad. We went over the max. occupancy but ALOT and didnt' have any complaints. We also brought in alcohol in luggages when we checked in and left them in a tub of ice.

Anyway, I hope your not expectin too much from the hotel, because you can only be so loud. House party is the way to go and camping.
My grad went like this...
Aftergrad to the hotel, home at 11 am, slept for the day, then went to a house party that night in Lake Bonavista (Houses up there are crazy nice!) , next day relaxed, then gone camping for 2 days
