Can someone please explain the concept of gold plated terminals and such to me? Seems pretty stupid to me because gold is a shitty conductor. Why not just use copper or something like that. Gold plated even costs more.
gold is the best conductor out here..

I thought platnium was the best conductor??

I was told by an electrican that gold is a bad conductor.

golds there to reduce the corrosion and for the Bling Bling

Silver is better than gold or platinum for conductivity, but it corrodes too quickly.
gold is better then silver still

i am pretty sure silver is better than gold although they are all good conductors......and platinum still isnt as good but it is useful because of its durability and inertness i think.....

For conductivity, silver is best. (http://www.audusa.com/silver_has_the_highest_electrica.htm)
However gold has better malleability, ductility, and resistance to corrosion.
