From the original poster (I found this on another forum, from a guy who found it on another forum;) )

Ya'll remember Mohamed Bin Sulayem right? Well I met him today, him and his gorgeous SLK.
Here's what happened:
I was on my way home from school when I see an SLK wit two black patches on the hood. I was like "stickers". So I decided to check it out. After a fast lunch, I went to the house where it was parked. I get close and see that those black patches were actually the engine sticking out of the hood. I was like WTF? I was even more shocked when I read SLR on the engine. So I started snapping pics. When a Nissan Armada pulls up and who else but Bin Sulayem steps out of the house to get something from the Armada. Then he gets in the SLK and calls me to talk to him. At first I didnt recognise him, but he told me later on. My first reaction was to point speechless at the hood. He told me got the engine and put it in himself and changed the transmission, and it's a RWD. He said it had 615hp, and could go well over 350 km/h. He told me he had already been up to 320. He said it's a one of a kind, and that AMG are coming to Dubai just to see it.
The reason why he did such a crazy think was because all the other cars he has (Enzo, F50, F40, GT1, etc etc etc...) were undrivable in these streets cuz of all the traffic, so he settle with a SLK55 with an auto transmission, a comfy, easy ride in other words. But he wasnt happy with the power output...So hey, might as well drop an SLR engine into it...
Oh, and the sound...Mind blowing...
Crazy car...

I think it looks really good. Those holes in the hood were done pretty tastefully and add a touch of originality to the whole project.

Im surprised he even got that engine to fit!
I didnt think it was possible.
If I had that kinda money, I would put a C6 motor in my car.
Ya I know, american motors dont belong in a german made car but that thing would haul ass!

I think it looks amazing, this is my new favorite car. I'd be speechless if I saw it in person.

I don't like white on many cars, but I think it's the best colour on new and old SLK AMG's.

I'd like to know all the specs on this car, especially 0-60, and 0-120

Well the original SLK 55 has room for a V8, and the SLR engine would only be taller because of the supercharger on top, so its not surprising that the engine could fit. Altough im sure it not an easy swap haha.

I doubt he'd buy an SLR for a donor motor guys, get real....

It must be either from a wrecked SLR or just an engine purchase from the factory.

I missed this post... wtf does that have to do with anything? Did I say I loved my wing? Do I have to love this car just because it costs more than mine?

Maybe I'll cut some holes in my hood and you'll like my car better too.

If you read the article you would know why.

"The reason why he did such a crazy think was because all the other cars he has (Enzo, F50, F40, GT1, etc etc etc...) were undrivable in these streets cuz of all the traffic, so he settle with a SLK55 with an auto transmission, a comfy, easy ride in other words."

Erm, yes it does. The guy has a shit load of supercars obviously he doesn't want another one for no reason, so he bought an SLK which makes perfect sense becaus eit's a great daily driver an dhe wanted more power and still comfort.

erm, think about that, do you think an SLR engine in an SLK is going to make less power than an SLR engine in an SLR?

if his issue is that overpowered manual cars are hard to drive in congested traffic, an auto SLR in an SLR body isnt going to be any harder to drive than an auto SLR in an SLK body...

Has anyone read the specs on it. Did he change the brakes? The SLR has crazy brakes and a rear spoiler brake for a reason, the oem slk brakes would not be up to par.

How could he not afford an SLr? if he has a bunch of super cars, and was able to do this project...
