Fixing interior rattles; can't remember what stuff to use?

Hey all. I remember seeing some stuff online that FWIW is like a foam that you spray on under things like speaker covers etc to help get rid of rattles in a car's interior. Like an idiot I didn't make a note of it and I can't remember what it was. Does this stuff sound familiar to anyone? Many thanks,

Dynomatting is good too if we're talking about rattling as a result of your audio equipment.

dynamat is too expensive now as it has become a brand like everything else


look at alternatives like fatmat, brown bread, etc most of which are as good or better than dynamat xtreme

While taking apart my new car to modify it, I noticed little felt pads wherever two pieces of trim meet. Also, wherever a clip goes into a hole, there is a gasket made out of tape (paper-thin plastic adhered over the hole)... that way the clipped on part won't squeak.
Those are some good ideas for eliminating rattles and squeaks, but on an older car it would take quite some time to track down all the noises and panels. On my old car, I used to roll up little pieces of black electrical tape and wedge them between panels that made noise.

Can you let us know how that works? I have been looking for something similar as well, my passenger side door seems to rattle at bit, I beleive it's from my exhaust. None the less it is extremely annoying.

The tape idea sounds pretty good. It's actually for fixing rattles on my brother's Integra which is why i can't give you guys more specific info about where the rattles are.

Sure wish I could remember what that foam stuff was called.....oh well. Pretty good suggestions here anyway, thanks all!:D
