bought these about a month ago off GUA but i'm selling my explorer so i won't need these. I have not installed them but the box is opened. they are 6500k. I bought these for 300 and i will sell them for 300 firm! They are plug and play and everything is in the box for what you need. pm me or post right on this!

yes they will fit. But i believe you will loose your high beams. But you won't need them.

No this will not fit your sir. But it will fit a 2004. You will be needing an H4.

I really don't know how to answer your question because i have never installed them. Can anyone care to comment?

The higher the K the more blue/purple they are, which equals less light output.
4100k = pure white light with a hint of blue - usually seen on bimmers and other cars that come stock with HID's
6000k/6500k = really blue - these are usually the aftermarket HID's you see on cars. ie: RSX

Does anyone know if its possible to replace 6500k bulbs with, say, 8000k-12000k ones? or does the bulb have to match the ballast?

Lastly, does your kit have the AMP-type connectors?

95% of the color you see on these cars are from the projector or reflector cut off. And these types of bulbs have a lifespan way less then 4100/4300k, because of how the bulb is altered to get the 6500k color temp.

and for everyone who is interested in what size low beam bulbs they use, use this site, enter your info, and it will list off what size you need.
