Remember my BMW 330Ci? Well my dad bought it off of me right...

Well this morning he was T-Boned by a truck going about 70km/hr..

The car is most likely a write off, it spun around a couple of times and every body panel is messed almost, not to mention the point of impact, the airbags, and the pool of fluids underneeth.

Everyone is alright, bruised and shaken up, but alright.

Drive safe everyone. I know I am.

I'm getting pictures this weekend.

Damn...T-Boned at 70KM/H?! It's a good thing everyone is alright!

I would say it's a shame to hear about your car but it sounds like you're happy the car got mashed.

haha

I've got dibs on the seats :P

The M68's weren't on the car at the time, infact, they're right behind me right now...

So maybe. I'm going to be checking with the insurance company to find out because there is stuff that I want.

But yeah, the airbags etc etc did their trick, other bruised legs my dad is fine.

The front end where the truck hit is pushed in over 1" from what my dad says and the car had quite the puddle under it apparently. I'll know more when I see it and take some pictures.

Glad to hear everyone was okay. One of my neighbours got rear ended in his 03 330IX just over 2 months ago. I don't know which body shop his car was in ( I assume he used whoever Calgary BMW uses). He finally got his car back 2 weeks ago...

So even if its not a write-off (which you apparently hope it is) it'll probably take forever to get back.

It is a write off, thank god.

The first accident the car was in, it took over five months - and it was all suspension work. Hardly any body.

Calgary BMW uses their bodyshop at Calgary Honda, they do good work, just takes a long time. They outsorurce the work sometimes though.

glad to hear everyone is ok.

also glad to see your wish seems to have been granted to kill off the car.

as for the comment about good thing it was a bmw... old toyotas are pretty sturdy too, without any special high tech safety stuff, just ask the previous owner of my supra parts car.
the drivers door is about 2 feet in from where it should be, and he walked away with bruises.

Car accidents are a per collision basis when people speak of injuries and stuff...some people walk away from roll overs and some people die from fender benders.

It's weird...

we're not sure what's happening now

the insurance company initially said that they would write it off, but they phoned the other day saying that they're reassessing their initial evaluation(probably because they don't want to pay out the big bucks!)

Sounds like they might be reparing it though... :o

:nut: with front end damage like that, is insurance crazy?!?! Even if they repair, you guys won't be able to sell it assuming its gonna cost so much money to fix! And would you or your dad want to drive that car again?

tell them to give you guys the cash so I can take the wheels!!!
