is it better to watch it from 1-6 or the order it came out for everyone else? Which would make it more interesting? Some people tell me 1-6, but some said the order it came out in, so whats your guys' opinions?

4-5-6-1-2-3. that way Vader is just all the more badass and it gives you motivation to sit through the first two.

i agree, watch in the order they came out in. Don't see the "new" ones first, it will make the "old" ones seem crappy.

thats probably cus the old ones are crappy.

Why not just watch it from 1-6 how the story was originally intended to be read/watched...

yea then why did he make 4-5-6 first?

Watch them 1-6. So when you watch the second half, you'll enjoy it so much that you'll forget about the awful taste the first 3 left in your mouth! Hahahah

They came out 456123.

The 456 series is old school tech but its still a very good movie. The 123 series fills in the voids but it was made after. I would definately recommend you watch 456 first as 123 are newer, flashier, and intended to be watched after.

I know how they came out....

What I am trying to get out though, is that he had limited funds back in the day, and could not make all 6 in order as he wanted. He wasn't gonna make 1-3, and leave it will the Empire "winning" and the story sitting there hanging with nothing to follow it up for 20 years... Making 4-6 was the only way to go. It has the "Happy Ending" and it was his only way of going forward with the project.

They were meant to be seen 1-6... Funding, technology hindered that until such time. Now you can see all 6 in order.

Watchin 456, then 123... well, you really just fillin in a gap that you already know is gonna happen, where as if you watch 1-6 you see the story progress right from the beginning, rather than using 123 to "fill the gaps"...

Just my opinion... :D

^^^ agreed, the older ones may seem a bit more boring due to the fact the technology is outdated (to me, their just as good, just not as flashy like Weapon_R said) but the story lines are better than the first 3 episodes. 1,2,3 have more CG and stuff which makes for more of a better watch, but the guy who played anakin, just annoyed me since he seemed more of a whiney baby rather than a rebellious teen falling into corruption.

so which is the better way to watch it? Fill in the gaps or watch the story from beginning to end? From the sounds of it, 1-3 are boring, so your watching it more for the story than the action, so maybe watching 1-3 last would be better since you just want to find out about what happened before instead of sitting through a boring shitty movie?

how the fuck am I supposed to know whats best for myself? How is watching these movies in any order even better for myself? Obviously I've never seen it, that's why I'm asking for opinions as to which is the better way to watch the movies. The reason I would go out of order is because thats the way the movies came out and that's how everyone else watched them.

I just recently got into Star Wars like last week and I watched them in order 1-2-3-4. I still have to watch 5 and 6. I think it's better to watch them in order because you can notice some of the hints Darth Vader gives in 4. But like everyone said, you wont be amazed with how it looks.

4-5-6-1-2-3

I think knowing what happens in 4-5-6 makes the tragic turns of events in 1-2-3 more fun to watch. You know what's going to happen, but you don't want it to happen, dammit!

And I also think that Vader's announcement at the end of 5 is more entertaining if you haven't seen 1-2-3.

I was talking to a friend about this, and he came up with a realy good idea:

4-5- (squigly Wane's World Flash Back) -1-2-3-(squigly Wane's World Flash Back)-6

He said it was a great way to view the series, because you get to see the origonal first 2 first, than after the big plot twist im empire strikes back (not going to spoil it here, for thsoe that have not seen it), you get to "flas back" and see the first three, which provides all the history to the first to, then finish the whole thing off with number 6

If you watch ep 1-3 before 4-6 your chances of being dissapointed in the visual department are almost 100% since they "special effects" weren't in every single scene and the lightsaber battles aren't even close to being as fast or as elegant in 1-3.
If you watch 4-6, then 1-3 you might be dissapointed with the story and plot since they basically go to the genius of a grade 5 in ep 1 and 2...
But 4-6, 1-3 is a good order to watch them. Enjoy

It is. Though I would skip ep 1 and 2. Just go 4, 5, 3, 6.

Anything of value (beyond the kick ass darth maul fight sequence from ep1) is mentioned in ep 3 pretty much making the first 2 a complete waste of time. It is all just eye candy.

Edit: The creation of the clones in 2 isn't really touched upon in ep3.

Edit 2: The revelation about the emperor at the end of Jedi is dimished by watching the first 3 first however. Back in the day that was a huge deal. It won't mean as much if you watch them in order.

Watch Star Wars Ep 4,5,6.

And you can take Teletubbies Ep 1,2,3 and chuck them in the trash.

Awsome, glad to see someone else hasn't seen any of the movies either. I was wondering the same thing myself about the order to watch them in. I think i'll go 1-6, since I'm not a huge fan, and i'll need the newer flash to get me into the series.

you just can compare the graphics or anything for that matter from 4,5,6 to 1,2,3 so you have to watch 4 5 6 first utherwise ull just be disapointed when you go from 3 to 4. id say they put out 4 5 6 first for a reason so just watch it that way, in my opinion.
