I'm trying to format one of my hard drives, but it says I can't do it because there are programs that are accessing files on that drive.

The drive I'm formatting is mostly mp3s and videos, and I've shut all that down. The only thing I can think of that's stopping me is the trojan horse that I'm trying to get rid of.

Can anyone help me format this?

Download partition magic or boot into dos with a bootdisk and use the format command.

^ Using partition magic and dos format require that you know your shit or you may format the wrong drive/partition.

Boot in Windows Safe Mode and format it while in Safe mode. Reboot and see which program complain and fix it/reinstall.

Or if you have a windows installation CD with boot then load that up and select the drive from the format/partition options and away you go.
