After 11hours and 20 mins I am finally back in town. I don't know how it took so dam long especially when peeps like Kenny get back here in 7 hours lol

Anyway, it was a nice drive, I slowed down after the first 200kms on my way back because the RCMP gave me a lil present! It was so stupid, this is what happened.

I was going Highway 1 east towards CAlgary, somehow Highway 1 merges with Highway 5 (same road, leads to Calgary). I didn't know that! So after a lil driving I noticed it said Highway 5, North. I was like "Oh shit"!! I thought I was cruising towards the NW territories lol I thought I missed the turnoff or somehow ended up on the wrong road. So I did a U-Turn and came back the other way. This Jeep TJ was cruising 135km/h with me, I noticed very far ahead is a cop car parked on the side so me and the jeep braked and we were going 80km/h past the cops. Well the sirens come on, the jeep pulls over first but nope, they were not after him! They were after me! LOL

The RCMP was some 40 year old lady, she was pretty cool, asking me about how much my car cost etc. But in the end she was doing her job and nailed me with a 134km/h ticket, fine was $173.00. After that, I did another U-turn and went back the same way. So stupid, I don't know what I was thinking. If I never second guess myself I would have never u turn and never got the ticket!!!!!!!
So who do I call to fight this ticket? BC traffic lawyers or AB traffic lawyers? Court is in Victoria!!

Hope that makes sense:madred: :madred:

if its in Victoria, don't go to court.
Just don't drive into BC again.

Can't wait to see the new car!

I got a ticket from driving to BC a few months ago. Failure to stop for police and for speeding over posted (couldn't clock me, but I was hauling ass to say the least.)

Just pay it, it won't show up on your Alberta record

i haven't paid mine, i just got a notice in the mail awhile ago. I'll eventually pay it but only because I plan on moving to BC.

No demerits for BC tickets =). Just pay it, or ignore it if you never plan on driving in BC in the future...

200km out from vancouver is just before the coquihalla after abbotsford is it not?

they ALWAYS patrol there for future reference

i got very lucky there, i was on my cellphone and didn't notice the speed trap at the bottom of the hill and just blasted through it doing well over 50 over. luckily they were busy with the cars they had pulled over...

INDEED! You are correct man

I was going downhill, 134 in a 110 zone is not that bad man!!

Ok, are you guys sure about the no demerits thing??? I'll just pay it off then or I might just never drive to BC.

I don't like to fly or drive for long duration because my ass gets numb and I get irritated lol:rofl:

Oh wait!

I didn't have a rear license plate because the registry would not issue me one because my car was out of province and I required a inspection hehe

So I drove back with a piece of paper on my front windshield that said "Unregistered vehicle in Transit" hehe

So they don't have my plate, can I still drive in BC?

It's not vehicle dependant... its your license. it's on file now.

you won't get arrested or anything if you don't pay it, it jusy *MIGHT* become an issue if you get pulled over for doing something really stupid... (which is why I should probably pay mine  )

you won't get any demerits for out of province driving and I say that with confidence

Traffic laws are different provice to province, therefore they can not assess demerits for tickets in other provinces. If they did, I would've lost my license 2 or 3 times many years ago...

doesn't mean that they can't haul you to the RCMP station and hold you...

Its not bad! I love this car very much
After test driving both the 328 and 330 there is obviously quite the power difference but I'm still very happy. There is just enough power for me and I am very happy. Lots of low end torque, unlike "HONDAS" haha

But what I love the most is the way people look at you because you drive a BMW

SWEET!

With BPUs you can beat 328s ;)

Congrats Sam, glad you're enjoying her :)

I got a ticket in sask about 3 years ago and it went on my record. I had to get a drivers abstract because I was going to switch insurance companies and voila there it was demerits and everything :madred: It's almost off now though...can't wait!

Rode beside you yesterday - Bimmer looking good!

Either case there is no demerits assesed to your record.

As for the ticket:
Wish to pay:
Wait for court appearence date. Then pay. It may get thrown out like a few friends that I know that got one. Or call in and ask that they post pone it to another date.

Don't pay:
Do not drive back to BC for a LONG time. There will a warrant for your arrest if you get pulled over. Doesn't mean you can't fly over :)

I got a speeding ticket conviction 3 months ago in Sask. I just paid $15 to pull my abstract. Still clean as a whistle.

I would pay the $173 just to get it off my mind. You don't want to be in Van someday and get arrested for outstanding tickets. I don't like having to worry about something like that. I got a ticket just outside Kelowna for $160 a few years ago. Wrote them a cheque and it never appeared on my record.
