I'm currently enrolled in ECON 311 and I'm thinking of taking Money and Banking (ECON 309)?

Has anybody taken these courses yet?

Are there any other ECON courses that you guys have found interesting?

Thanks,

ps: I am not majoring in ECON so I might not be able to take some of them

Econ 341 is money and banking. Not 309... try to take it with Tracey if you do take 341
or Zanko

309 is microeconomics for econ and society... no clue on how that class is

ECON 309 isn't Money and Banking. It's either Macro or Micro for Econ and Society majors.

I think what you're referring to is Econ 341. I took that with Tracey before and it was a good class. Just be aware though Tracey is notorious for making the final super hard compared to the midterms and causing your grade to drop if you don't know what you're doing. Good class though.

DO NOT take 309!!!

It won't count towards your degree if you're an econ major - lol thats coming from experience :(

ECON 423 (International Macroeconomics) with Zuzana Janko is the only really interesting econ course out of the 13 I've taken so far, but it has ECON 303 as a pre-req. ECON 403 (Economics of Taxation) with Ken McKenzie is somewhat interesting, but it has 357 in addition to 303 as a pre-req so you'll probably only be able to take 403 if you're an ECON major.

Take ECON 341 in the Fall from Zuzana Janko. I've had her for one course (423) and Tracey for four (203, 303, 341, 443), and Zuzana Janko is the better professor. She's also a wonderful person and easy on the eyes to boot. Whatever you do though, don't blow 341 off as one of the "easy" econ courses.
