Has anyone on here been to Space gym yet? I went this morning, it was my first time there and I guess it is pretty new. It has a really cool look and atmosphere, its an old warehouse building transformed into a gym. It has old brick look mixed with modern design, pretty nice looking in my opinion. The boxing ring and bags they have there is pretty good as well. Just wondering what other people thought.

Is this the actual lighting when you're working out?

I used to go there untill calgary boxing took over the place sometime at the beginning of this year...
its more of a place for boxing, but they also teach salsa and all other types of dancing, and they teach martial arts and have a massage room too...

they have a resident artist who does alot of paintings that are hung all over the place so its like a gym/art gallery

So when they host an art event they have to move all the gym equipment off the floor?

it is behind the stampede grounds just off of 8th St SE. they have their own lot, and you can park on the street with no problems as well.

:werd: , its by no means a club or art gallary basically just a really unique gym that's done up pretty cool, and when i said i went and partied there it was up stairs not in the gym (the owner lives up there, or at least at the time he was)

holy shit thats a gay gym, $30 a month is nothing, and if its all going to all those decorations, imagine how shitty the equipment is. there's gonna be a lot of benders in this place.

I work right next to it, and the place is constantly full. The parking is also horrible in that area. I was thinking of joining up since it is so close to work and would be great stress relief for after work.
