This is probably a stupid question, but can you get a manual hummer?

Nope. Both the H1 and the H2 are slushbox only. Even the U.S. military spec Humvees are auto. I saw a Desert Rally H1 on Speedvision that I think had a manual, but then it was pretty wildly modified with an unnaturally aspirated 350 ci V8. When the civ spec H1's came out the 350 was an option, but not a great one. It was only something like 185 hp vs the diesel's 150hp and a lot less torque.

Why is it only auto?
Can you do a transmission swap? Kind of like and engine sway, only different?

Sure you could do a tranny swap but one...

Finding a transmission could be interesting
GOing to cost you arm and leg and maybe your liver to
Why would you ruin an H1 in the first place, I ought to smack you.
H2 is a piece of shit in the first place, not worth doing it too
The autos on those things were pretty good, they were made for auto, they can drive up walls higher then half the rims with an auto, no need to change to manual, probably ownt gain shit out of it.

H2's can be done. Search for a Hummer forum there are pictures on it. They are very similar to a 2500 HD.
An H! is a different story, I bet it can be but I have never seen or heard of it.:dunno:

If you want a true hard-core off-roader with a stick, get a Unimog or Pinzgauer. It'll cost you less and be much more interesting than the Hummers which seem to be posed far more than driven...

Yes, but only in the new H3's.

AllGoNoShow- whats wrong with the H2? I like it because its tough on the outside, but nice and comfortable on the inside.
I like the H1 alpha also, although the inside isn't as nice, but w/e.
How would it "ruin" an H1? And whats wrong with manual.
I always thought manual was better. Automatics are too simple and easy.
