I need some help, I wanna upload some pics but photobucket.com sucks, and I've seen lots of people who have those members.shaw.ca/whatever things where they upload pics...so where do I get that?I am a Shaw customer

You need a file transfer program (FTP).

Yeah, you need an FTP program. I suggest SmartFTP.

Address: ftp.shaw.ca
Username: Whatever name your webspace is under
Password: Much like above, whatever pass you picked
Port: 21
Then just upload your shit.


To get at whatever you uploaded, you need to make the link like:


http://members.shaw.ca/username/filename

LeapFTP = Free + Quick + Not Eyecandy = good choice aswell.

I also have a question since i don't know how to do any html. How can you make it so the pictures appear when you go into the directory opposed to having it look like its in the folder?

I would suggest using Internet Explorer if your new. Drag and drop. :D


"ftp.shaw.ca" in address bar, then user/pass.

That's just the link to let everyone on the internet see whatever pic you uploaded.


For instance, if your username was 'yomama' and your filename was 'mymamaisahotpieceofass.jpg', you would make the link:

do what zedge said and use internet explorer
if your email is dj_rice and the file u upload is abc.jpg then the address would be
http://members.shaw.ca/dj_rice/abc.jpg
