View Full Version : Anyone see the 88-91 Civic on Hwy 2?

This afternoon?

Was approx 15km out of town, between Cgy and Airdrie, on Hwy 2 southbound.

When I weny by, I saw it had no plate. I swung back to Airdrie and pulled over behind it, because I thought it may be abandoned. Turns out it was, but there was a sign on the windows saying the kidney foundation was coming for it.

Sure enough, 5 minute later, it did.

Was this anyones ride here on beyond?

what is it the kidney foundation does with these old junker cars exactly anyway?

they sell em for scrap i think, but collect the $$$ for thier cause.

They'll take away your old beater for a tax receipt (minimum $100). I had them haul my old winter beater ('90 Eagle Summit) and they'll either get a recycler to pick it up, or sell it (if it's worth anything) and give you a tax receipt for the $$ they got for it.

It was a easy way to get rid of a dead car, and I was supporting a good cause. Can't go wrong here.
