okay i always get this mixed up....automadic transmission fluid is for automadic but what do you put in for oil that a 5spd tranny???? i know im dumb today.

gear oil i belive...if i remember right....and whats a good gear oil for a truck that goes through alot of abuse and 4x4's once a week ??????

National Transmission often has a coupon for a bunch of transmission related services (fluid + tune up) for $20 in those coupon books that get delivered with the mail...
Not sure if it includes a flush though.

Go to Canadian tire, ask them to get you the correct gear oil. Some manual trannies use regular motor oil, others use thicker stuff.

Cheap = possible chance of less caring people = fuxord tranny = you going no where.

With that being said, take it to a real shop and cough up the dough, its worth it.

Do it in front of your house or in the back alley. Just lay down a large piece of cardboard and get to it. Don't even need to jack it up because it's a 4x4.
