The past few years ive seen and heard of plenty of them running around pretty deep in the city.

Deer - all over the place.
Moose - Friend saw one by McMahon stadium.
Coyote - 2 blocks from my house

We should be able to bow hunt the yotes. At least with bow who knows how much money the city spent on those last few.

Anyone see anything else other then rodents ?

I've seen a moose in my neighbours garden when I was taking care of his yard. I also see deer almost everyday, and there was a bear near my house last year I believe at the glenmore resevoir. I have a big rabbit living in my back yard as well.

I'm pretty sure there are bats in Calgary at the elbow river.

Saw ospreys hunting in back of Lafarge, a bald eagle down by Mallard Point in Fish Creek Park, and a fox in the cemetary south of Stampede. (In addition to the deer and the coyotes and the regular Calgary birds).

You have to go to the mountains to see serious animals tho.

rabbit and deer are rampant in my area.

A few coyotes as well and their howl make neighboring dogs go crazy.

Did the crazy weather kill all the gophers? I havn't seen any yet, live or road kill.

Too bad I havn't seen any beaver in a while.... :( :D

Just barking like crazy.

And those Coyotes are smarter than we give them credit for. A neighbor told me that @ their cabin, a lone coyote actually lure their pit bull out to the forest and than attack it in packs.

It barely survives.

Thats crazy but I bet the Pitbull messed at least one of them up!!

I grew up on an orchard. Cats used to dissapear all the time. We had one that was really smart and is now more then 12 years old. And the yotes would lure dogs out often or at least try. One would whine and cry or pretend its in heat to lure the dog out while the others waited for dinner.

Unless the recent rain has drown lots of gophers, which I doubt, as I think it only really matters when they are very young. Ive been out shooting gophers this year and some places are down right infested. The whole field looks like its moving.

There's a skunk that we see sometimes in our neighborhood. I want to kill him but he always leaves before I get my BB gun :D

I think this pic gives a good explanation of how bad it is in my area, this is a pic of my backyard.

They owned our flowers last year, this year we setup stucco mesh around our whole garden to keep them away. Fences do nothing, they jump right over the damn things.
