I know green tea is uspposed to be amazing in many aspects for your body but what about the iced green tea that you can buy? does it have the same benifits? or is it just flavored? thanks in advance

its more so the tea leaves. You can get green tea extracts too.

Lipton green tea is NOT the same.

But the Liptons taste pretty damn good LOL. Just go for the real herbal stuff , not the fake stuff.

They the lipton stuff is loaded with sugar. I am really starting to enjoy Green Tea. Since I have started drinking it around the office my metabolism has been in overdrive.

the bottled green tea will still have some antioxidant effects of green tea but it is not very potent compared to like a tea bag green tea...

it's also loaded with sugar, like someone mentioned above

So what brand do you guys recommend that can be found in the regular stores (safeway etc) that has the benefits of green tea.

From what i've read, the sugar does not cancel any of the anti-oxidant factors of green tea but it slows down your ability to lose weight (if those are your intentions)

when you add sugar and/or cream to your coffee or green tea, it basically cancels out the fat burning process you get from each.

I don't have the articale anymore but I remember reading it a long time ago in either muscular development or muscle and fitness... they did say that adding a small amount of sugar for taste in coffee is ok(like half a teaspoon... artificial sweetener is always a better choice though)

for green tea, i highly recommend the starbucks green tea... it's about $8-9 a box but i think you get about 24 tea bags? I could be wrong though.

Another good choice is umm if you can find a real japanese green tea, it should be in a metal tin, and the leaves will be loose, so it may be a little bit more inconvenient for some but it has a nice strong flavour

haha. I doubt there is any actual tea content in those! I bet it is mostly artificial flavouring.

every month mens health writes more and more articles on the benefits of green tea...there are some good anti oxidants in bottled green tea (lipton) but if your going to drink green tea, go with the real thing..

If you guys have any hook ups at earls, try their green tea....its the best I have ever had hands down.

If not, try the stuff from Sobeys or whereever called London Fruit Company I think... very good stuff.
