Just want a ballpark figure -- I am paying 2K / year for my WRX and will be "upgrading" before christmas.
Thanks.

it probably wont be that much of a jump over your wrx, but if you're worried about the price of insurance, maybe an sti isnt for you, just a thought

WRX's seem to hold their resale okay. Is this an STi thing?

Thats what I was thinking -- I was offered over 25K for mine from both the dealer and a private sale, hell thats just 1K less than what I paid for it almost 2 years ago when it had less than 30,000kms.

There is an 04 STi with 39Kms in this week's Trader for 33K. Full warranty and everything. It's already sold though. :(

Sounds fishy, I don't mind paying an extra few K and be sure it is clean.

This was out of Winnipeg. I talked to the guy and he said the reason he's selling cheap was cuz of hi kms. 40K in less than 1 yr. Otherwise full coverage, mature owner. I am sure STi's everywhere have seen hard driving at least some of the time right.

my car is a few hundred shy of 40k and i've only had it for 8 months now, and no way would I sell it for anything less than 40k
this is crazy...
but yeah, back to all the other questions, The STi was the first car I had under my own Policy, so I was quoted out the ass for it. you have to at least have one year of insuring a crappy car to receive better premiums later on, that and I have like 3 tickets...
