Guess my biggest fear may have happened to some, any of you guys with CAI's have any problems with the HUGE puddles, flooding, etc?

Ive just always worried about sucking in some water into the engine, and well ig uess these last 2 weeks is a true test to see if CAI's are okay heh

Still have my problem with a vibrating noise when it really gets wet out. I haven't been able to figure out what it is. Anyone have this problem?

I had 0 problems, and my CAI sits about 4 inches off the ground. There were a couple sketchy lookin' puddles (read: lakes) so I switched off the engine while I went through them... but it probably wouldve been fine.

mine is also about 4-5 inchs from the ground, I didn't have any problems, I did go threw some dodgy looking puddles, but wasn't too bad, I managed to stay away from the lakes.

mine was fine... as i recall, the filter has to be completely submerged before you hydrolock! :D

My filter is about 3" of the ground and that's my turbo intake side too, I drove all this weekend and it was fine. I looked at it and it was wet but the intake pipe was dry on the inside.

I'm about 2-3 inches of the ground too and I kept checking the filter. Bone dry, nothing to worry about.

ya myn was fine to the filter got a bit wet but nothing inside the pipe. i went through some pretty good puddles too i think ud have to have like the whole filter under water reving at like 5 to do any damage

me and my bro had CAIs on various cars for years with nary an issue.

I remember on a stang board I whore a guy actually fired a pitcher of water at his K&N while it was running with no issues.

I'd rather take a ball shot than do that, but anyways. I'd not let it stop me unless you were going mudding.
