HI, I was wondering if a 1993 GMC sierra 1500 king cab(?)
would be a good buy for roughly less than $1000.It's a propane conversion but he has all the original parts,175000km,new paint, bit of rust and cancer on the wheelwells and on the underbody. Also there is a large crack across the windshield extending basically the full length of the windshield and into the drivers view, would it pass safety like that or would it need to be replaced? Theres also some pics I took of it today.

I would say it's a very good price with only 175k on it. I'm pretty sure you will have to replace the windshield to pass safety though.

Well I talked to the guy and he said he has a replacement windshield for it as well as a new tranny(this one leaks) and all the parts for the front end(cv joints etc)He said he wants $1000 but I'm going to see what I can get him down to.

keep it on propane, it is definately a more cost effective solution and you ge the same power as gas, and converting it over is nothing ut a carb and the gas tank and lines, but i would keep it on propane, $.40/l is pretty good, definately a good buy, trannys are cheap too
