I saw an M45 for the first time in person today on 14th street. It was black with very nice rims. I didn't even know you could get these yet, but they are very good looking. 345hp

hah, id be amazed if the 0-60 on that car was any better than 7.0s

hah, id be amazed if the 0-60 on that car was any better than 7.0s It should be somewhat less than 6.5 seconds actually. More power than the Q45 it replaces, with a lighter chassis and more narrow gearing.

It accelerates just as fast as the not-so-mighty 350z bud

Q45 is not getting replaced is it???? :dunno: I thought M45 was suppose to fill a gap b/w G35 and Q45

Yes you are right. They wouldn't replace they flagship car with that.

geez man, ure the last person i expected to catch with incorrect info. fyi, the q45 uses the same powerplant as the m45, a 4.5l v8 which puts out 340hp/333lb-ft in both iterations. also, the m45 uses the same old chassis as the q45....hence my first comment in this thread. it IS lighter by 110 lbs, but not because of a new chassis design which is what u seem to be implying. i did a little research, and the same tranny is used, but the rear end is is different, so the gearing is a little better in the m45.

lol oh really? from your website i got these numbers:
0-60 mph, sec 5.7
0-1/4 mph, sec 14.3@98

call me crazy, but last i checked, 14.3 is slower than 14.1...and the 14.1 is from car and driver, who dont launch their cars on the drag strip...so the 350z could easily be in the 13s when launched. big difference in acceleration.

we are talking about the 350z, not the g35.

all in all, im actually surprised at the numbers that the m45 puts out, but it is still in no way a 350z killer.

No, not big difference. I dont consider 1-2 mph traps a huge difference. They are very close in acceleration and what ever happened to your "hah, id be amazed if the 0-60 on that car was any better than 7.0s" homeboy?

as for what i think of the 0-60 speed..ill repeat myself for you:

5mph? You sure about that? I havent seen any roadtests where the 350z did 103+mph.

lol
wtf? How is that nitpicking? I personally like to judge a cars power more so with trap speed than E/T. Thats just me.
So if you claim it can go 103mph stock, I was simply asking for some proof, as i provided, to possibly correct me.
Theres nothing personal here, i dont even know, nor do i particularly care, who you are.

but heres a website i found off google that states a 102mph trap speed. http://nissan.jbroadtests.com/Z/2003/index4.php its 1 mph off from my 103mph claim but u know....

Fair enough.
Thats all i wanted. Cause the tests i had seen were coming up with 99-100mph figures (barely different than that of the m45).
But apparently it is capable of better.
