In Alberta, hit and run is covered only if you have collision coverage.

Not like BC and other provinces where hit and run is treated like theft or vandalism, so you can claim it under your comprehensive coverage.

I learned this one the hard way, someone did a hit and run on my car, and I called my insurance company to find out that I wasn't covered.

sorry to hear that girl......hope it works out but like someone said before, after you fix it just park very far away from other cars cos some fools have no respect for other peoples property....this might sound funny but I try to park very far away from cars and if I do park by any cars I try and find the expensive cars and park by them cos I know or hope most of them value their car so they will not bang your car with their door or hit you while driving off.
