I'm just wondering if anyone here has done any cooling mods to their xbox? Like mods that can keep the inside hardware cool?
I want to try some of the cooling mods from xbox scene but just wanted know how well it works before i try it out.

when i put the hard drive in, i re wired the fan that was already in there.
Just take the ground wire and ground it to the metal in the case, and the fan will run at 12v instead of 7v, it spins alot faster but is a little louder too.

Are you having overheating issues? I have a 7200 rpm drive in mine and only run it at 20% max speed and it stays cool. I did drill some holes through the plastic hd holder.
Unless it's a 1.0 with the fan on the gpu as well, you'll probably just make it louder.
Buy an 80mm fan from somewhere like MemoryExpress. You will have to shave down the corners to make it fit. Run it off of the 12V line and you'll be set. If you do the 12V mod on the stock fan, it will be uncomfortably loud.

I've done that mod already but i don't mind the loudness. Just wondering though will the 12v fan mod help cool the hard drive too?

doesn't matter, if you've re-wired it to 12v you can't control the speed with your desktop.
