Any of you own a grey 900RR?

I had a little encounter with one on Friday night.

We did a little run from 3rd to 4th and to his surprise I'm sure, he couldn't pass me :D

No, its not unbelievable that a quick mustang can pull on a bike... not everyone is ignorant to the fact cars can be just as quick as the two wheel wonders.

Actually I was seeing .82 bar that night so 3lbs more boost then what I dynoed my car at so I was probably over 500rwhp.

with 500whp, i'm not surprised that you kept up with a 900RR. not the fastest bike out but still fairly quick. i've roasted one with my bike.

What do you run at the 1/4 mile? That 900 will run 12s on a slippery surface. Should pull 11s easy on a sticky surface.

i remember 2 3 years ago on my cbr600f4, i raced ludelvr??!?! or someone from the board with a red prelude, turboed, i was a newb and when i down shifted to accelerate my revs went wayyyy beyond the red line , but anyways, it was pretty close (maybe i just sucked at riding)

itd be nice to see what happens

an 03gixxer 1000 is a whole different beast compared to a 900RR. my 750 would romp the 900 and the 1000 scares the crap outta me!!

I will definitely get it on video. FYI, that run in with the 900RR was when my car was having some issues with spark. One cylinder wasn't firing properly. I've since replaced everything and I'm hitting the dyno tonight to fine tune things. Hopefully I see over 500rwhp :D

Ran into a couple bikes tonight and arranged a little roll on the freeway with a Kawi 750R. Had my buddy in the car with me as well, to bad we didn't have a camera. We went from a 100km roll. The rider was geared down and ready to rock my world. My buddy flagged the bike and we were off. I instantly pulled on the bike, so hard it almost seemed to easy, by the time I hit the top of fourth I had a good 5-6 car lengths on him and pulling hard. I let off to let him catch back up. He was like "HOLY FUCK" is that car fast...hehe. I was surprised how easily I pulled away from him. I thought for sure he would have stayed with me. Anyhoo, was a real rush walking away from a bike like that. Continued to cruise all night but no more encounters.

Another encounter....

This time it was a 98 Honda Vtwin 1000 Fireblade and an 04 Honda 600R

Walked away from the Vtwin pretty good, probably the same as that 750R I raced the other night but the 600R was sticking to my ass. He couldn't pass me but hung with me. We stopped and talked for a bit after, they were both very surprised.

I think I could have done a little better against the 600R if I tried again, I was a little out of my power band in third and had a little lag before the turbo kicked in. Still fun as hell though.

So if an 04 600R can hang with me then I think an 03Gixxer 1000 will take me pretty good. But I guess I'll find out soon enough. :D

i have an 02'. i would definitely be up for some fun once i get her back together again. should be good to go sometime this week.

pretty much stock. only thing that would help perfomance is -1 tooth on the front sprocket.

The liter bikes will beat me, the 750's and under won't. Unless you have done something to improve the stock performance.

Wow, I have never seen people kiss so much ass in my life. Brad, before you get too high on your ford, a.) race a decent rider b) race a decent bike.

You say a 600 was keeping up to you.. some of the new stock litrebikes are pushing 180hp.. whereas the stock 600's are around 90-100. If you beat a 1000, with a good rider, then brag about taking down bikes.. dont brag after you race some roach who doesnt know how to ride a beat up 750. Often it might sound like the kid is high in the RPMs but dont forget some of them rev to 14000 and 7000 or 8000 will seem loud. if you are from a roll, the bike should be around 10,000. Good for you if you win though.

If you are interested, I have a few people that would be more than willing to execute this. Let me know.

I don't have enough powa to race a liter bike. The fastest bike I've raced to date was an 03 954R with a pipe. First run he got about three cars on me and then I was able to maintain that pace with him and the 2nd race I was able to hold him off till the top of my 4th before i shut it down. Also raced his buddies 04 Gixxer 750R and pulled on the bike each time, varying in distance depending on the timing and its all on video ;)

I'll run your buddy next year when I have my new motor in. Then it may be a different story :D

hey I ran you a while ago I have a 94 kawi zx7r and if it wasnt for my slipping clutch at 10 grand you would of only beat me by 6 bike lengths instead of 7 ha ha. Dude that car is sick nice and sleepy too, just the way I like em'...hope to see you on 17 again and go to sarcee again so I can have a car hand my ass to me on a platter...nice work!!!

Hey Brad, we met up last week downtown. I was on the black Honda. We raced a few times up to Beddigton. All I have to say to all you haters out there is STFU. You have no idea what you are saying. This car is sick to say the least.

The race would have been bettre if I had any sort of 2nd gear.:D I managed to shear the gear apparently sometimne earler that day.:thumbsdow . Double shifting into third didn't really help me at a 100k roll on. When I get the bugs woked out of the new trans/motor setup we should try it again.

You are the 954RR i ran into on Memorial and asked to have a go at on Deerfoot :D I wasn't sure how I would do because I raced an 03 954RR a little while ago and got beat...but...I was only running 10psi on that run. With you I was on kill mode, 13psi :D What was it like seeing a stock sounding, stock looking Mustang pull away from you :D

Could you hear my tires breaking loose on the 60 roll...LOL.

I'm always up for a run...hopefully the old motor holds out till winter comes. Next year the new motor goes in and then there won't be too many stock bikes that should be able to hang with me then...hehe.

You guys should all come by my car meet this Sunday. I posted a thread on Beyond in the events section, the Performance-shop meet. Should be 60+ cars showing. Then you can check out the car up close and personal.
