So, I left my computer on to download a few things, and the specific program I have has a "shutdown on idle" function, and it shuts down when it is finished downloading. Apparently, it shutdown when service pack 2 was installing, and Windows is recommending that I uninstall service pack 2. Now I uninstall it, and now I can't connect to my router, or the Internet anymore.
Windows can determine my IP, and default gateway automatically, but cannot determine my DNS server.
My ISP is shaw, and my router is a SMC barricade 4 port router.
It's an onboard Network Interface Card, and it seems to be working properly. I also notice another NIC that installs itself, something to the likes of "1394 Network Connection," if I remember correctly.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
