If the 2 are both stock, the Jetta will be 0wn3d!

WRX, more torque, and bhp, not to mention AWD.

But in the sense of just zooming past someone, Jeff Type R's beastmobile will Zoom past any make out there.

If they were both running full out, the jetta would zoom past him while he's parked for a beer and a hot dog, otherwise, anyone can zoom by anyone else if they're givin' it and the other dude is just cruisin...

Jettas zooming past imprezas? Depends entirely on where you race, the tyres and surface conditions, and who is driving.

Anything can happen though, especially if the road gets twisty and wet enough.

I  MR2's. I wonder how much yours is like the MR2 Spyder I test-sat in at the dealers. I quite liked it, though I wished it had a proper hardtop roof.

Don't forget about braking either - lighter and more balanced is better. :-) WRX's are front heavy, mid weight (1.4 tons without driver) etc.

Jettas are..front heavy, comfort tuned..

Can the driver of the WRX drive? If he can't...sure...a Jetta can "zoom" by him.

Driving can make a HUGE difference in how a car performs in any situation.
