I'm pretty sure they're at Millenium Place. Not 100% sure though.

No fireworks this year at COP or Millenium Place... they were last night at the stadium, but don't worry, you didn't miss out on anything! They weren't that spectacular! Stampede's fireworks are better than the ones last night! lol

There are fireworks again tonight at McMahon stadium.

I thought McMahon was only last night, there was mad traffic and a football game, they have festivities today at Shaw Millenium Park instead of Princess Island due to flooding, I believe there will be fireworks there tonight. Could be wrong but I think that's what I heard on the radio.

Kenny, you positive it's a McMahon?

word,

^^ you going again?
I'd say it was pretty damn weak last night...

Victoria's Canada Day fireworks puts last nights to shame... They went on for 30 mins!!!

There is a football game tonight too? When I drove by yesterday McMahon Stadium was full... Why would they have games two days in a row?

There wasn't a football game last night. They just filled up McMahon stadium to watch the fireworks. I know that there is a Stamps game tonight forsure.

There are NO FIREWORKS tonight. I just called and asked at COP and they said they were last night at McMahon and then I asked if they were going to be at McMahon again tonight and they said they were only doing one show and that was last night. Kind of weird but I guess we should have been more informed or something.

From what I understand there will be fireworks at the Stamps game tonight. I am going to the game, so I guess I will find out.

Thursday June 20, 2005 - FIREWORKS AT MCMAHON @ 11:00pm
Friday July 1, 2005 - FIREWORKS AT MCMAHON after game

Unfortunately there was no fireworks at COP but the second fireworks show was MUCH better then the first.

COP backed out on doing the fireworks this year. They said it took away from funding for Canadian Athlete. The organizers for Canada Day events did the fireworks at McMahon Stadium on Thursday only because there was a game booked on the holiday. The Stampeders put on the show after that game according to Calgary Herald...
next year will hopefully be better!

took away from funding Canadian Athletes = a nice way to say that its costing them money...

You'd think that a large (and financially well to do) city like Calgary could put something better together, pretty lame IMO.

thats extremely lame, all these surpluses, increasing taxes, and they dont even give us fireworks on canada day so the football team has to bail us out

im pretty sure someone needs a beating
